Club Sierra offers youth Tennis Camp in July

Club Sierra is holding tennis camp June 16-20 and July 14-18  for players 18 years of age and younger at beginner and intermediate skill levels.

Beginners will take to the court Tuesday and Thursday, 6-7:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9-10:30 a.m. The intermediate camp will be held Wednesday and Friday, 6-7:30 p.m., and Saturday, 10:30 a.m.- 12 noon.

Each camp is $60 per player for three, 90-minute lessons.

“Tennis camp provides great exercise, fun games, laughs and exciting drills while young people learn sportsmanship, team building, respect, cooperation and other important life skills,” said Cheryl Rubin, a Club Sierra teaching pro running the camp.

Beginners will learn how to hit the ball over the net, rally and learn basic strokes in a fun setting that tests their coordination, balance and timing and racquet and ball control.

Intermediates will learn different strokes, footwork, and strategy in a variety of drills that prepare them for singles and doubles play.

To confirm space availability, contact Rubin at 530-210-9913. Sign-ups are this week. To register fill out a form at Club Sierra and turn it into the front desk. Club Sierra is located at 130 West Berryhill Drive, Grass Valley.

About Grass Valley CrossFit – Clubsierrafitness

Brandon Bergeron CPT

My name is Brandon Bergeron. I started strength training and bodybuilding 15 years ago in my garage. I quickly realized that I would spend the rest of my life improving my health and fitness, enjoying the challenge as well as the result, and motivating others to do the same.

After thousands of hours of experience in working with people, I find that I am more motivated than ever. I have taken everything that comes my way and used it as an opportunity to learn by teaching. Through science, innovation, intuition and hard work, I get to see transformation and success in
those that I work with every day. I specialize in teaching a balanced, consistent work ethic for life. I work with those who can’t walk to those who are leading the race.

Your job is to show up…my job is to take care of the rest. I expect your best. This is what I do!

My Mission: “To consistently challenge myself with goals, hard work, and variety while maintaining the same standard with those who I teach. I train my clients the same way I train myself.

The Free Intro is a 1 to 1 meeting where we discuss your fitness goals, find out about your history, and determine what level of experience you have. We’ll also discuss the key role that nutrition plays and how it relates to a comprehensive fitness program. Pool, Spa and Saunas – Clubsierrafitness

Swimming is a healthy activity that can be continued for a lifetime.

The health benefits swimming offers to a swimmer are worth the effort it takes to get to the swimming pool, get into your swimsuit, and then get into that pool and swim.

Swimming works practically all of the muscles in the body (if you do a variety of strokes).

Swimming can develop a swimmer’s general strength, cardiovascular fitness, and endurance.

Enjoy our 75-foot indoor lap pool and spa as well as separate men’s and women’s dry saunas!
